Time Out

Reporting on so-called alien abductions, a newspaperman is caught up in a mixture of drugs, murder and an extraordinary set of events. The tale intermingles crime with romance and Science Fiction, confronts what we may perceive to be true with logic, and asks us to reconsider. Time Out follows Whitaker's Bad Blood as a companion volume. The principal characters and the story lines are new, but the location (Manchester, England) and the police team (D.I. Stringer et al) are the same.
The plot follows two overlapping investigations, one involving missing persons and the other drugs. As before, there is an integrated sub-plot that examines a popular urban legend and tries to make some ‘hypothetical’ sense of it.
